Chris Rasman is a professional snowboarder based out of Squamish BC. He moved to the mountains after high school to pursue his love for the mountains, and the dream of a making a living from snowboarding. Drawn to the creative and filmmaking side of the sport, Chris chose a path relatively free from competition. He has been a backcountry freestyle snowboarder for over 20 years, working on high level snowboard films.
Chris has filmed countless mind blowing video clips, 18 video parts, a Natural Selection win and several appearances, and landed close to a dozen magazine covers throughout his career. He has worked with many production companies and riders over the years, such as Sandbox Films, Absinthe Films, Alterna Films, Travis Rice, etc. With all this experience, Chris is no stranger to being in front of a camera. His role in the action sports industry comes with photo shoots, interviews, media and event appearances, and the occasional acting and/or stunt work gigs.
In the off season he draws inspiration from the ocean, and the natural world around him. He loves to surf, go camping via jet ski, explore the coast, and in more recent years has become a sponsored hydrofoil surfer; a rapidly growing water sport, and a new way to ride and capture wave and wind energy.
