Biography
Born in Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada in 1974, Jean-Francois Plouffe (JF) is a Canadian adventurer who has been living in Squamish, British Columbia for the last 25 years, where he works as a presenter, expedition leader, teacher, and mentor specializing in mountaineering, ski alpinism, big mountain skiing, ice climbing, rock climbing, canyoneering, paddle boarding, and safety and emergency procedures.
JF has more than 25 years of experience in the international outdoor guiding and instruction industry. JF has climbed summits from the Yukon to the Himalayas and rafted and kayaked rivers around the world. His strength lies in leading expeditions across all aspects and environments that Mother Nature provides. As an environmental advocate, proud father, and educator, JF wrote a children's book about recycling, reusing, and reducing, which can be found at www.littlespring.ca.
JF has worked in front of and behind the camera on numerous photo shoots, commercials, and TV shows. He and his family are currently finishing a film about how to balance family life while pursuing a passion in the mountains.
